We Are On A Mission To Help Save Our Kids

Founded in 2020, We Rescue Kids is a non-profit action tank that supports the people, policies, and programs that improve the lives of at-risk children. We are passionate and unapologetic advocates for the welfare of abused and neglected kids in the United States, and around the world.

"Give A Hand To Make
A Better World"

Our Mission

Helping children in need achieve happiness.

Right now, our focus is on helping children access safe spaces and therapies, following sexual abuse.

Our sustainable model is proof that all children who require it can access mental health care.

Our mission is to provide a safe space for child victims, both short and long-term. Long-term, We Rescue Kids has a far grander vision.

Our goal is to repair the foster care system in the USA. The system that was designed to protect kids has become an environment which exploits children and perpetuates sexual abuse.

We start with the present. We start with providing for every child who needs it. And then, we fix what’s broken – because we have shone a light on the path and shown that it can be done.

Jeweliet Tangen

CEO and Co-Founder

Jeweliet Tangen always knew she wanted to help people, and she started her business with the sole purpose of building enough funds to do just that.

After battling her own childhood issues, and dealing with the grief of having lost her mother, Jeweliet began volunteering in a special-needs prison. There, she met men who were pedophiles and rapists. The men who couldn’t be put with the other prisoners for the sake of their own safety.

After years of dealing with sexual abuse and slavery from her childhood, Jeweliet found herself interacting with inmates who had committed – to her mind – the most hideous of crimes. And yet, instead of being angry with them, Jeweliet found herself feeling a deep sense of compassion, especially after learning of their backgrounds and their own experiences.

What followed was years of research into the how’s and why’s of sexual abuse, with a focus on how Jeweliet could make a difference to other children’s safety. Jeweliet began sharing her story more publicly online, and finally contacted fellow survivor

Samuel Young

COO and Co-Founder

Samuel grew up in a small city in Canada. In his late teens and early 20’s he had to overcome multiple hardships such as having close friends pass away.

This lead to him having depression for multiple years where he coped with it through partying. Sam learned how to reinvent himself through hard work, discipline, and spirituality.

His dream for #WRK is to rescue 1,000,000 kids (or more!) for sexual abuse and teach them how to become their own superheroes!
